Bosarge Family Foundation Gift Spurs Cuckolds Rescue
The Cuckolds Fog Signal and Light Station Council announced a new and enduring partnership with the Bosarge Family Foundation. The Bosarge Foundation committed $750,000 as well as additional personal and material support to the Cuckolds Rescue. Speaking to Council leaders, Marie Bosarge, a Director of the Foundation, expressed "...sheer joy and satisfaction of contributing to, and participating in, a hometown initiative with lasting value. Hancock Lumber Steps Up: Unprecedented Commitment to Boothbay Peninsula
Creating a new and unprecedented partnership with the Cuckolds Fog Signal and Light Station, Hancock Lumber is donating all of the building materials for the Cuckolds restoration. This commitment has a retail market value of $150,000 – $200,000. But the value of the Hancock contribution is far beyond the "material". In this sixth generation family business, their passion is stewardship. Two Goats, Luna & Blondie, Summer on Western Cuckolds
The Western Cuckolds is now the summer home for two Savannah Boer goats, on loan from Dragonfly Cove Farm of Dresden. Luna & Blondie take their summer jobs seriously, greeting kayakers, and grooming the landscape in a carbon emission-free way.
